About Galveston Hotel Guide
Galveston Hotel Guide is an independent finder for the 64 hotels, inns and B&Bs on Galveston Island, Texas. Andrew Budai compiles it from each hotel's own website, last checked on 28 October 2026. It is not a travel agent and does not sell rooms.
What the guide does
It lets you compare the island's hotels on the things that decide a Galveston stay: whether it stands on the sand or across Seawall Boulevard, whether it takes dogs, whether it parks your car for a cruise or drives you to the ship, its pools, and how many minutes it is from each cruise terminal. 40 belong to chains and 24 are independent hotels, inns and B&Bs.
Who runs it
Andrew Budai is an experienced webmaster with more than ten years in SEO and digital advertising. For the past year he has been building his own websites, with one aim: sites that are genuinely useful to the people who read them and that pay their way.
He compiles this guide. Every fact comes from the hotel's own website or its brand's page, quoted word for word with a link to the page it came from. Drive and walking times are OpenStreetMap routes. The guide is not affiliated with any hotel, the Port of Galveston or Visit Galveston, and it does not describe stays it did not make.
How hotels get in
Every hotel, inn and B&B on the island is included when an official page of its own can be read. No hotel pays to be listed, ranked or described. The few left out, and why, are named on How we check hotels.
How the guide earns money
"Check prices" opens Booking.com with your dates, and a booking made there may earn the guide a commission. Room rates are never shown here, because they change by the day.
Corrections
Hotels change their pet fees, parking and pools. If something here is out of date, or you run a hotel and want to send a photo or a correction, use the contact form. Every change is checked against the hotel's own website before it goes up.
